ABOUT PJ
Thanks for stopping by.
You’re probably here to figure out what makes me tick.
Three things do:
My Two Missions
My fantastic “day job” is Executive Director of GLO USA., working with a remarkable team to outsmart poverty, nourish souls, and rebuild Burundi — the poorest nation on earth. We work from the ground up and the top down, from rescuing women on the streets to launching multi-million-dollar sustainable farms. Desperate need. Lasting impact. Deeply human.
Alongside is a mission I never saw coming and never asked for. I was the youngest and longest-abused victim of the most prolific abuser connected to the Church of England — my own father. I took me decades to face my abuse, and years to claw my way out of the pit of trauma. I founded Survivor-2-Survivor, a movement to help survivors turn shame into solidarity and pain into purpose. A movement built on the belief that no one climbs out of the pit of trauma alone. A movement that sees trauma as the raw material for transformation, and healing as something contagious.
My faith
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. — Ps.16:8
PJ’s Bio
Author | Speaker | Advocate
PJ is an author, speaker, and advocate for non-recent abuse victims and the poorest of the poor.
PJ is the founder of Survivor-2-Survivor, a movement to help survivors turn shame into solidarity and pain into purpose. A movement built on the belief that no one climbs out of the pit of trauma alone. A movement that sees trauma as the raw material for transformation, and healing as something contagious.
As the youngest and longest-abused victim of the most prolific abuser connected to the Church of England — his own father, PJ fought his way out of the pit of trauma, and is now on a mission to help heal 1.3 million survivors. The number isn’t random: his father harmed 130 victims. Through Survivor-2-Survivor he is helping 10,000 times that many heal.
PJ also works with the remarkable glo.burundi team who are outsmarting poverty, nourishing souls, and rebuilding Burundi — the poorest nation on earth. They work from the ground up and the top down, from rescuing women on the streets to launching million-dollar sustainable farms.
With 25 years of experience leading organizations, thousands of hours communicating from stages, and his own tumultuous journey, PJ is a uniquely compelling communicator in the space of maximizing your life, faith and all-round resilience.
PJ married Ashleigh, his high school sweetheart 30 years ago. He is a father of three stunning sons, a couple of adorable daughters-in-law, and grandson Charlie. He has lived in the UK, Africa, and now lives the USA. His career has spanned education, church, healthcare, and non-profit. He gyms and enjoys a round of golf … although golf doesn’t enjoy him much.
